Interpreter, negotiator, guide — we have been working the fair for over a decade.
The Canton Fair is enormous — 60,000 booths across three phases in a complex so large that walking from one end to the other takes half an hour. It runs twice a year and each session draws hundreds of thousands of buyers. We have been attending for over ten years. We know the layout, the registration procedure, and how to read a booth at a glance.
Phase 1 covers electronics, machinery, lighting. Phase 2 is consumer goods, gifts, home decorations. Phase 3 is textiles, garments, shoes, bags. Each phase runs about five days. We cover all of them. If you are coming for a specific product category, we will tell you which phase and which halls to focus on.
A few practical things: the October session is noticeably busier than April. Bring comfortable shoes — the fairground in Pazhou is enormous and the humidity can be punishing. There is a good noodle place just outside the east gate that beats the overpriced food inside. Our role goes beyond translation. We help you identify actual manufacturers versus trading companies, negotiate prices in Mandarin or Cantonese, and arrange factory visits after the fair for suppliers worth following up.
